Savannah and South Carolina 2018 East Coast trip 2018 Part 2 (work in progress)

Here is my second slide show from the 2018 trip to the east coast. After leaving Florida, our next destination was ultimately Charleston South Carolina, with a "lunch stop" along the way at Savanna Georgia.

Note that I visited Georgia and South Carolina a second time in the Fall of 2019 and that time around, things were a little different as we actually stayed 2 nights in Savannah that year instead of a few hours and stayed at a different hotel in Charleston that time. Will post about that trip at a later date.

Here is the route my family took going to Charleston South Carolina, visiting Savannah along the way for lunch.

Took a picture of the "Welcome to Georgia" sign. Yeah, Florida was just the starting point of the trip. We had a long ways to go. Next, we were heading to Savannah Georgia and eventually Charleston South Carolina

As usually, I rode in the back seat of the truck taking pictures of the scenery and landmarks along the way. Here we were going over a bridge

By Georgia, the swamplands become pretty noticable along the interstate and take a different look compared to the ones in Florida

Here, we were doing a short McDonalds stop (bathroom break as well as getting a snack before pressing on). Skipped breakfast that day, so I was a little hungry by the time we got to McDonalds. Just got a burger and a frape and moved on.

Back on the freeway (Interstate 95) and heading to Savannah. 95 is mostly 6+ lanes all the way between Miami and Savannah. Doesn't officially narrow down to 4 lanes until the South Carolina border
